United Way of Racine County VITA offers both federal and state income tax preparation for Wisconsin residents with an annual household income of $69,000 or less. Services are provided by trained and vetted volunteers. We are unable to serve taxpayers who claim rental or farm income or file as Married Filing Separately. Services will be offered Monday through Saturday. Morning, afternoon and evening appointments are available. To avoid delays in receiving a paper refund check, direct deposit is recommended.

Appointments are available for in-person services for both federal and Wisconsin returns as well as Homestead only returns. Please allow a minimum of one hour for your full-service tax preparation appointment. Schedule a separate appointment for any additional tax years you need filed. If you do not have time for a full-service tax appointment, you can select a drop-off option at the Burlington Public Library or RUSD Pathways Campus. This will book you a 30-minute appointment to complete your initial paperwork and be interviewed. You will then return for a short visit to pick up your completed return in as little as a week. If you would prefer to not visit a site but still want our team to complete your return for you, you can utilize our secure virtual option from the comfort of your own home. Visit www.unitedwayracine.org/vita for more information and to start the process.

If you have questions before or after your appointment, our team can be reached via email at taxhelp@unitedwayracine.org
